Photobiomodulation(PBM)

A precise, minimally invasive tool across our treatments

Photobiomodulation (also known as Laser therapy) plays a supportive role across several of our treatments, offering a precise, minimally invasive way to release restricted oral tissue and calm inflamed or overworked muscles. For tongue-tie and lip-tie release, ablative laser technology allows for a clean, controlled procedure with a smoother healing process than traditional methods. We also use cold laser therapy as part of our adjunct care for TMJ and orofacial pain, helping to reduce inflammation, ease muscle tension, and support the body’s natural healing response. As with all of our therapies, laser treatment is used thoughtfully and only as part of a broader plan built around each patient’s specific needs.

Where We Use It

  • Frenectomy — tongue-tie and lip-tie release
  • Cold laser therapy — TMJ and orofacial muscle inflammation

What to Expect

Minimally invasive with a typically smoother, faster recovery than traditional surgical methods. For frenectomy patients, laser release is paired with required pre- and post-procedure myofunctional therapy to ensure lasting results.
